1913 Royal 5 Antique Typewriter.
This legend is not only a good-looker but it is hands-down one of the best typing machines I’ve had the pleasure of typing on. The feel and ease of typing will have you wishing for more time to write. Don’t shy away from this beauty’s age. She can hold her own. I’d love to see someone tackle a book on this amazing machine.
She seriously is one of the best typewriters I’ve ever tried. A true treasure.
The decals are in excellent condition. The glass keys, gorgeous. The only minor issue is the tab has been worn and doesn’t always catch the stops (watch the video and I will show you what I mean).
BONUS: We are including an original magazine ad clipping of the Royal 5 framed in a small glass frame!!
Comes with metal spools. We’ve put extra fresh ribbon on the spools for you. You can send in the spools when you’re ready to have new ribbon or you can use a Universal Ribbon for replacement. Please watch the typing tutorial for more information.

We are NOT offering a warranty on this typewriter for one reason only…shipping. The care with which it needs to be packed coupled with the cost of shipping makes it impractical to offer a warranty. We carefully pack all our typewriters but this one will have extra care and be double boxed. All our typewriters are insured during shipment. You will have 3 days to make sure it meets your expectations.
