Rebuilt Smith Corona 200
Original hard-sided case
dimensions: 17″ x 12″ x 5.5″
serial number: 6LR-148839

This typewriter came to us in rough condition and Rob rebuilt it with parts from other machines. It has been repainted in a bright blue with light blue accents. It is an electric typewriter with a manual return. A nice strong bell with an easy keystroke. Great for fast typists! Also, the keys only require a light touch so this is ideal for younger kids.

Works well enough for active writers. Suitable for medium to heavy use.
We’ve adjusted the price to account for the fact that this is a rebuilt machine from parts from different Smith Corona models. Operationally, it is in great condition. However, because it is built for parts from different models, we decided to lower the price and sell it AS-IS.

Serviced, cleaned, tested, new ribbon installed, demo & tutorial videos. Be sure to watch the demo video so you can see how it performs! There are no known operational issues. This uses a Universal Typewriter ribbon, 2-colors. A new black/red ribbon is installed for you. An extra ribbon can be added to your order (Option 2) and future replacement ribbons may be purchased here on Etsy or on our website at www.jotandtittletypewriters.com

BUYER BEWARE! ! I purchased the Smith Corona 200 for $175.00 for my granddaughter who asked me for a typewriter for her birthday. The typewriter was delivered on time and was packed well. However, when we opened it it never worked! The letters transposed (typed) on top of each other and the space bar never worked! I did contact the seller and they did try to walk me through how to fix it. I tried everything and so did my son-in-law who can fix just about anything. I would have liked to return it or at least get some money back, but was informed by Jot and Tittle it was sold “as is, and it’s the inherent risk you take with vintage typewriters.” Last time I checked, all typewriters at this point are vintage! I guess I didn’t scroll down the page far enough to see “as is.” I could see if we had the typewriter for a few weeks and problems arose, but this thing didn’t work from the get-go. Why bother selling it to begin with if didn’t work?? It’s just the principle of the matter. My granddaughter was heart broken and now I have a typewriter that is sitting broken in my living room and I’m out $175.00 just like that!

If you look at the listing, you’ll see that we put “As-Is” in the short description that appears at the TOP of the listing. Additionally, we put in BOLD RED in the full description that this was AS-IS. And finally, in the demo video, we explained that this typewriter was AS-IS. When it left our shop it was in good working condition. Our description says if there was damage from shipping to let us know. We tried helping, but to accuse us of hiding that this was an “As-Is” listing is 100% false. Click the link and relook at the product listing.
