We highly recommend them for those willing to invest a little more into an excellent typewriter. Well suited for active writers or for long projects. Note: smaller hands will have a bit of a harder time with the keys. Smooth typing action. The carriage feels like it is floating. Everything is working wonderfully on this SM9. Off-white with turquoise accents. Carriage lock is the turquoise lever on the left side of the keyboard. Manual tab keys on either side of the space bar. We recommend adding a non-slip typewriter pad to keep the typewriter from scooting across the table. HOW TO USE THE MARGIN RELEASE: The typewriter will stop typing when you reach your right margin. The bell alerts you that you are within a couple of characters of the margin and that is when you should hit the return button. However, sometimes you are in the middle of a word or thought. Once the carriage stops and you can’t continue further, press the margin release button and you will be able to finish your word. Serviced, cleaned, tested, new ribbon installed, demo & tutorial videos. Be sure to watch the demo video so you can see how it performs! There are no known issues. This uses a Universal Typewriter ribbon, 2-colors. A new black/red ribbon is installed for you. An extra ribbon can be added to your order (Option 2) and future replacement ribbons may be purchased here on Etsy or on our website at www.jotandtittletypewriters.com 🎥 typing demo video: https://youtu.be/ApTrLurKML4 🎥 typewriter tutorial video (may not be the same machine but will be the same model): https://youtu.be/yxjOJdYsj-Q (REMEMBER: we professionally SERVICE our typewriters and do NOT replace parts, unless otherwise noted.
