The Smith-Corona Galaxie II is a perfect choice for a starter machine. It works well and is in the original gold metallic finish. There are a few, small areas of wear. Please look at the photos closely so you know what to expect. Even so it is a beautiful Galaxie II. A smooth and easy typing machine. Very RETRO! An awesome gift idea for those who are just getting started with typewriters.
A couple of notes: the bell is inconsistent – sometimes working, sometimes not. Also, the power space does not work – it releases the carriage. Watch the typing demo video to see what I mean. ?
