New to typewriters or looking for something for your kids? This Coronet Automatic 12 by Smith Corona is perfect! It’s a late 60s/early 70s model. The paint is original and the keyboard show discoloration from the years. That being said, the paint is in excellent condition and mechanically it is a very sound, reliable machine.

This is an electric typewriter with power return, which means it’s really easy to type and mimics the feel of a computer more than a manual typewriter. It types very well and is suitable for everyday use. Homeschool papers, college papers, letters, books, and more! This can handle all your projects but is also easy to adjust to in the transition from computer to typewriter.

While it is considered a portable typewriter, since it is electric it is a heavy machine. It comes with the carrying case if you really want to schlep this guy around. But, it is best suited for staying put (IMHO).

A new ribbon is installed and this guy is ready to go out of the case.
