Ahhhh-mazing.
That’s the best word I can come up with for this typewriter. It is the best performing machine I’ve typed on. If you are a fast typist this typewriter says, “Bring it!”. It looks and acts like it just came from the manufacturer, not like something that is 62 years old!
Aesthetically, is beautiful and I hardly see a scratch.
Mechanically – it doesn’t get any better.
I highly recommend watching the typing demonstration video I created as I explore everything about this typewriter and show you how it operates. The only teeny-tiny thing I could find was that one of the tab stops in the back is a bit sticky. You can see what I mean in the video.
This Olympia SM3 is not meant to sit on a shelf. This needs someone who will appreciate what a fine machine it is and will give it lots of attention.
