Suitable for personal use and is easy to use with a nice flow in the keystrokes. Does skip occasionally and the type has spots of uneven imprinting. Can only use a single-color ribbon. A very handsome dark brown Royal Quiet Deluxe with Magic Margins. This is a nice typewriter but it is one that we call, “Works With Quirks”. Suitable for personal use and is easy to use with a nice flow in the keystrokes. Does skip occasionally and the type has spots of uneven imprinting. Can only us a single color ribbon. The exterior is in lovely condition and it types easily. That being said, here are the quirks:
- The type impresses a bit uneven, especially the capitals.
- It occasionally skips a space.
- The color selector doesn’t work so it ONLY can use a SINGLE-COLOR ribbon.
These are fairly minor quirks as the flow and typing action is quite nice. However, I would keep this typewriter for personal use such as letters, journal entries, or 1st drafts of books. It is not something for papers or projects that will be turned in or handed out.
Suitable for light-to-medium use.
